ESPN asked Lee Corso to name some of his favorite college mascots for the commercial package being developed for the ESPN College GameDay show this season and, of course, Corso selected the Williams College purple cow.

SAN JOSE, CA – Former Eph men’s soccer standout and Jamaican International Khari Stephenson is now on loan to the San Jose Earthquakes in the MLS until November 30^th from his home club Aalesunds FK, which plays in the top league in Norway. In 2009 Stephenson was a member of the Aalesunds team that won the Norwegian Cup and qualified for play in the Europa Cup.

Out With the Old, In With the New: Lasell Gym to be Renovated

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – They don’t make them like they used to.

A scant 83 years after the first renovation to the floor in Lasell Gym, one of the nation’s oldest collegiate gymnasiums still in use for Varsity competition, will have a total floor replacement beginning Aug. 9th. It’s expected to take about a month to replace the floor, but there’s no way to replace the memories and history of the grand building that sits atop Spring Street in the heart of Williamstown.

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA — Williams College will look inside before looking outside to replace Justin Moore who has left Williams to head up the women’s rowing program at Division I Syracuse University.

Brad Hemmerly, an assistant to Moore the past two years, will get a year to showcase his skills and leadership abilities as the Ephs interim head coach. As is custom at Williams, a national search will be conducted in the spring to select a head coach of the Eph women rowers…

Harry Sheehy to Join Dartmouth As New Athletic Director

After walking the sidelines at Williams for half a century Harry Sheehy ’75 will walk the sidelines in Hanover, NH and the Ivy League this academic year as the Athletic Director at Dartmouth College.

Lisa Melendy, Associate Athletic Director Senior Women’s Administrator will serve as the Ephs Interim Athletic Director while the college conducts a national search…
